Colchester Zoo, Essex

I had a fantastic day at Colchester Zoo today with Jan and her son Tayte. It was spooky Hallow'een Day at the zoo, so it was open late with lots of scarey themed events including a visit to the frightening forest and the ghost train (yes, I did scream). I don't generally like the idea of animals kept in captivity, but Colchester Zoo is very well maintained and the animals seem very happy in their surroundings. My favourites, as ever, are the giraffes, penguins and goats. We were very lucky to see the penguins be fed on this occasion. As you can see, Jan and Tayte had their faces painted. LOL.
