Custom wool wreath

Here is the custom wool wreath I have created for my Etsy customer in the USA. This one measures 30cm across - so it's much larger than the ones currently for sale in my Etsy shop.

I really enjoyed making this wreath, and currently have two more in production, one of which is Christmas themed with little gingerbread people on. See more in my Etsy shop: www.etsy.com/shop/AndreaFarmerArt

Exhibition news

'The Promised Land' by Andrea Farmer
I have received notification this morning that my work has been accepted by Les Livres Gallery for exhibition next year.

Les Livres Gallery is situation within Colchester Central Library, Essex. Although the exhibition is not until October 2010, it is never too early to start promoting or thinking about the work I want to exhibit. 'The Promised Land' was one of the ethereal landscape paintings that went before the selection panel at the gallery - so if this painting is still available come October 2010, it will be included in my exhibition.

Also in 2010, I will be exhibiting with Activate. Rogue Gene Collective are in the process of finalising their 2010 exhibition schedule. More soon.

Breakfast at Tiffany's, Theatre Royal Haymarket, London

Hubby and I watched the brilliant "Breakfast at Tiffany's" at The Theatre Royal Haymarket, London last night. Based upon Truman Capote's classic novella, Anna Friel plays Holly Golightly with Joseph Cross as William 'Fred' Parsons and James Dreyfus as OJ Berman. Set in New York City, 1943. Fred, a young writer from Alabama, meets Holly, a charming, vivacious and utterly elusive good-time girl. Everyone falls in love with Holly, including William, but he is poor and Holly needs rich. Will she marry Rusty, playboy millionaire? Or Jose, the future president of Brazil? As war rages in Europe, Holly begins to fall in love with William, and then her past catches up with her.

If you are only familiar with the Hollywood screen version staring Audrey Hepburn, George Peppard and Patricia Neal then you are in for a shock! The story differs greatly in many places with no glossy Hollywood ending in Capote's novella nor the stage play. A fabulous night out, this play is well worth seeing.

A-Ha, 02, London

Watched A-Ha at the 02 last night and was transported back to the 80’s! They played all the old classics,‘Sun Always Shines on TV’, ‘Train of Thought’, ‘Hunting High and Low’, ‘Living Daylights’, ‘Cry Wolf’ etc. etc. and finished with the brilliant ‘Take on Me’.

The 02 is a fantastic venue and I also had the pleasure of visiting Gaucho for dinner with my friend beforehand. Gaucho is an Argentinian steak restaurant, with what I believe to be the finest steak ever! The interior decor is amazing and the staff friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the food they serve. If you fancy a treat, and love steak then Gaucho is well worth a visit!
