Make, Do & Mend
I had a great time last night at Make, Do & Mend in Byron Road, Chelmsford. Georgia Coote was running two workshops as a part of the Chelmsford Arts Trail.
The first was a tile decorating workshop and the second a vintage paper dolls workshop. Georgia provided all the materials plus some lovely chocolate homemade brownies. You can see my tile in progress above, and the rest of the tiles other participants made. Georgia had created the paper doll templates too, and provided some of her surface pattern designs to be used to make the clothes. Mine turned into a collage as I was inspired by the bunting hanging in Make, Do & Mend.
In the second photo above, you can see Georgia's wall of tile transfers which she created for the arts trail. I think every home needs to have some of these tile transfers. The third photo shows Georgia's lovely sister Allie, hard at work with her paper dolls. The final photo is of a super handmade sausage dog brooch that I purchased from the shop, created by Nastassia Player. Make, Do & Mend is owned by the multi talented Hannah Elgie and is an absolute haven for creative types. Lots of exciting events and workshops take place there, so please visit their website for further info.
Many thanks to Georgia, Hannah and all for a lovely evening. :)
