Creative Craft Show, Essex

Yesterday, Cherry and I went to The Creative Craft Show at Five Lakes, Maldon, Essex. The show is predominantly aimed at papercraft, beading and stitching (not fine art or painting) but was still very inspiring. I was most taken with 'Decopatch' and treated myself to an MDF blank and some paper, more on that later. Cherry purchased some interesting bits too, but I won't spoil the surprise, so keep an eye on Cherry's blog to see what she creates. I also purchased a small cross stitch kit and some quirky star shaped buttons.

The day also gave Cherry and I a good opportunity to talk about the upcoming Community Pop-up Gallery Shop and throw some ideas around. I'm currently thinking pom poms!

  2. Oh, I don't believe it, there must be a decopatch craze at the moment - I've just got onto it, it's amazing, and another friend ofr mine on FB has recently been doing some, too. I've decopatched two wardrobes so far (Mini ones, that is!) but the possibilities go on and on! Have fun with it, look forward to seeing your creations!
