As often happens, I start new paintings before finishing others. Here are two more examples of works in progress, which I started during the gloomy weather of the Bank Holiday weekend.

I've used a lot of blue and grey in paintings recently, and so decided to use some bright and uplifting colours for a change. These two coastal landscapes are being created in yellow and magenta oils with a touch of white and gold. The box canvas painting needs a lot more work, but the oil paper painting is nearly complete. What you probably can't see from my photograph is the interesting areas of texture and mark making on both artworks - which I create with various tools and medium.

I will post the complete artworks very soon.
